As Daou Rosé gained popularity, it needed a distinct identity that could stand alone in the competitive US market, while still sitting comfortably within the wider Daou collection.
In a saturated category where light, dry rosé is often marketed with minimal design substance, the opportunity was to express the depth, story, and craftsmanship behind every bottle, blending heritage and elegance with a modern, sun-drenched joie de vivre.
We took cues from classical French fashion, Parisian architecture, and Art Nouveau forms to craft a timeless, elegant identity with a warm, modern edge that stands tall on the shelf.
At the heart of the brand is a bespoke illustrative pattern form. Inspired by the flowing architecture of Daou Mountain’s bell tower, the organic curves mirror the movement of the wine itself as well as evoking vines, flora, and soft silhouettes of Provençale landscapes, crowned by a rising sun.
Paired with a dusky, Provence-inspired palette drawn from the drama of the evening sky and an elevated custom type system, every element was designed to capture the delicacy and craftmanship of the rosé inside.
The result is a poised and graceful identity that blends French refinement and Californian spirit.
